Our Cheerleader!!

Madisyn has wanted to be a cheerleader for some time now...so this semester she joined a little cheerleading group at her school. They practiced every Wednesday after school. They learned all sorts of Frenship Tiger cheers and even a dance to MC Hammer's "Can't Touch This"...too cute.

At the end of the session, the squad got to perform at a Frenship JV Girl's Basketball Game at the High School.

Here are the girls getting ready for their big moment...they were so excited.

Here she is looking down onto the court. She said she was getting nervous.

Here she is walking down to the stands. "Hands on hips, and Smile, girls!"

They cheered in the stands for the first half.

Dad and Tango watched from the stands while I was one of the parent 'vomunteers' Figured if i was a volunteer, I could get closer for pictures. I think i was right.

I was proud of Evan though...it's hard to watch a one year old in the stands by yourself.

HALF-TIME!!!!

It was so cute. They did two cheers and a dance for the basketball supoorters.

After the game, the big cheerleader took a photo op with the little people :)

Because they were only able to perform for us at halftime, the girls had a pep rally for the parents...to show us everything they had learned.

They did a cheer where they all introduced themselves. After they called out their name, they got to to their favorite jump. Here's Madi's.

Looks like a natural, doesn't she???

Here's Madisyn with her coaches.

Our Sweet Tango is One Year Old!!!

Can you believe it? Our sweet Tango is a year old. It is so hard to believe that it's been one whole year since he has graced our lives with his presence.
Here is a little tribute to Tango's first year. It's been a great one!!!

Here's the day he was born.

This is Madisyn's first look her little brother.
I think it was love at first sight. She's still smitten with him....I just love it!!!

He's been hauled around everywhere. Just six days after he was born he "cheered" Madisyn on during her Christmas recital.

Already had him posing for pictures at two weeks.

Mornings are so difficult...

Jan 08

We took him on his first hunting trip when he was just 5 weeks old. Madisyn shot a javelina and had to include tango in on the fun.

While we were in Alpine, I hauled him all around in the baby backpack. We hiked everywhere.
She STILL wraps herself around him every night. It is just so sweet.

This is his one month picture.

First on camera smile...

Just a month old and already a thinker ;)

Feb 08

He loves bath time.
His first Super Bowl Game!!!!

Look-a-likes. Think they look alike now...Check them out in a couple of months.

His shirt says, Who's my Daddy?" Evan couldn't deny him if he wanted.

Hello, Ladies!!!

Here is is being the great and supportive brother....

...more than anything, he is stuck in that Bumbo seat watching Madisyn cheer!!

Which one is Tango?? Madisyn put her baby next to Tango while he was napping

Sweet Baby Tango.

Well...Happy Birthday, Old Lady!!

March 2008
the little birdie was talking to Madisyn

Take a look at my little handsome man the morning of Doc's wedding. Three months old and already a ladies' man.

He was too short to bounce in his bouncer....had to use a Lubbock phone book.

This was on my birthday. My best birthday ever. Not just because Evan took me on a surprise trip to New Orleans, but look at this.....it was great.

His first Easter. We spent it at Mamoo's. He was totally intrigued by the chicken that danced to the "Chicken Dance"

April 2008

Here's our trooper toughin' in out during Madisyn's very chilly soccer tournament

Hanging out with Miss Sherri at the soccer touny.

His first bite of food....I think he's going to be a fan of it ;)

Madisyn loved being the first to feed him.
Here is one of our first "family" photos. Notice Tango's shirt says, "Madisyn's Biggest Fan"...and he is. He loves her so much. She gets way more kisses than we do.

Tango was born with his tongue tied. He couldn't even reach his tongue to his lips. One of the doctors I work with, clipped it for him. And was a proud day this was....See it sticking out?!?!?!

Madisyn was showing her the pretty flowers she had planted.

May 2008
Tango and Daddy took a break during Madisyn's dress rehearsal for her spring recital.

back in his baby backpack. This is how we spent most of Madisyn's soccer practices.

I walked by Madisyn's room one day and saw them on the floor. She was reading the book to Tango. I've said it before, I'll probably say it again....they melt my heart

Tango chillin' at one of Madisyn's games.

Memorial Day at Matt & Brandi's house.

This was the very first time Tango sat up.

Chillin' in his little crab float.

June 2008

Remember when i said to check these out in a couple of months? Do they not look just alike?

WHAT?!?! is the food all gone?

Bath time...

He is such a happy, content baby

During a break at swimming lessons, Madi came over and gave her Tango a hug

Getin some furits in by the way of the mesh bag. Loved that thing.

July 2008
The kid loves to fly...maybe he'll be an astronaut...or a circus flyer.

This was the first time that he stood up. it was July 31st....the day Caleb was born.

August 2008

Madi stuffed the poor kid in her baby stroller and took him all around the house. He doesn't seem to bothered by it.
...or maybe a computer programmer.

Tango loves to take a bath in the sink...lots to play with and try to grab.

This was taken the day Evan and I took jayden and Madisyn to Joyland. he is such a good baby. He just looks around in his stroller and he is so content as long as he's got a cookie.

My little gummy bear...he looks so funny when he walks around. His legs are so short.

September 2008

This was Tango at the fair....just wishing he was old enough to get out and ride one of those rides.

He may not have been old enough to ride...but he was old enough for that chocolate!!!
Labor Day....His first time at the "beach" Well, it was the beach at Buffalo Springs Lake...but he liked it just the same.

What's he doing?? Already with the rootbeer in the jeep.

October 2008

At the pumpkin patch...

Madisyn trying to teach Tango how to sing Hannah Montana in the microphone.

Here's Tango at the reunion...trying desperately to walk....

He could take a few steps at a time

He couldn't chase them on foot...but he gave them a run for their money on his knees...He almost got himself a duck

A very Happy Tango at the pumpkin patch right outside of Floydada

Bath time again

Eating spaghetti is so much fun!!!
His first Hallowwen...he was Bam Bam...a mighty cute one at that.

November 2008

Here's Tango giving Caleb a kiss. They are almost EIGHT months apart. Caleb is big and Tango is small.

I came into the living room one morning and found the kids playing on the floor toghether.....ready for this??? It just makes my heart melt to see them together.

Fall pictures in the front yard.

Lovin' that turkey leg.

We took a ride on the Polar Express. The train took us from the train station to the North Pole, where Santa got on the train and talked to every kid....and gave them a special Christmas bell. They gave us hotchocolate and sugar cookies. A great time!!!

This is Tango...he makes this face All the time. it is so funny!!!

I always talk about how little Tango is, so i wanted to put him in a pumpkin to take his picture...turns out, he's a little bit bigger than I thought. So he had to sit on the pumpkin!!

December 2008 - His 1st Birthday!!!!

We had his birthday party at 50th Street Caboose.

Is this all for little ol' me??

Miss Sherri gave him a birthday hug...

Yummy!!! That cake is so good.

Had to take a break from the cake to wash it down...

I really had no idea when we decided to have another baby that I had enough love inside for two kiddos. This has been the most amazing experience. He has added so much to out lives. And i just love to watch Madisyn with him...she is the best big sister...She makes this all so much easier and fun. I love my family.

Happy Birthday, Tango!!! It's been a great year!!!

I'm looking forward to many more!!!
