It took a while to warm up. At the beginning of the game, i was thinking that this may be a very long season...she just didn't seem to be that in to it. BUT there was this girl on the other team...she was a pretty stout girl...and she kept taking the ball away from the girls. I guess the Butterflies...that's us...finally got tired of her and they all of a sudden came alive...all of them. It was so much fun to watch.
We bribed her...of course...for working hard. I think Grammy dished out $12 by the time the game was over. 5 for her working hard at practice yesterday. 5 for every score she made today...plus 2 more for 2 incredible assists. I was very proud of her determination and effort today.

Did I mention that we got "real" uniforms this season? I love them!!! The girls look so cute. Take note to see the precious socks....that was my contribution to the uniform. I love them. They are so cute.

The first half was pretty slow. After half time, we got a "GO BUTTERFLIES!!!!" and it seamed to light a little spark for the girls.
Lining up for the new half. The girls from left to right are Jayden, Mari, Madi, and Madi. We so need to come up with some nicknames. My Madi doesn't like to be called Madi...so she likes to go by Madisyn. that helps a lot..but we still have a Madi and a Mari. And occasionally the little Madi's mom calls her Madison. When we yell out Madisyn...two girls turn around. When we yell Madi...three girls turn around. Quite confusing.
The Dads. And don't think they don't have plenty to yell at those girls. Poor Coach Vanessa has to deal with all these "back-seat" coaches.
Madisyn on a break out. If she got the ball, she was gone....that is, unless that girl right there in the green got to the ball. That little girl had a leg on her. Our girls seemed to be afraid of her for a while. Once they figured out that she wasn't going to hurt them, they got in there and started playing again.
