The Pastuseks: Madisyn's1st Soccer Tournament!!!

Madisyn had her first soccer tournament. She played three games on Saturday. Though very exhausting, she had a lot of fun.

She was the captain for the first game. Here she is with her coach....you know, making those big decisions. ;)

It was so cold. She had a pair of leggings on, then her soccer stuff, then a pair of sweats. The wind was blowing pretty hard on top of that. She ran most of the game with her hands in her pockets. fortunately, when she kicked the ball, she took her hands out of her pockets.

The first game was against the Divas.

Sherri and her gang came to the games....all of them. I can't tell you how lucky we are to have such a wonderful person to watch our children. They love her!...and she seems to like them too!! How lucky we are!!!! Here's Tango and Sherri during Madisyn's first game.

After the first game, the team had a little cookout. There were three hours between each game. Not enough to go home, but a little too long for the kids. Hard to keep them motivated for that long. Hot dogs help though!!

After a little hot dog break...Me, Madi, Tango and Mom walked over to Jayden's game. Doc is his coach this year. When we got there...Travis was reffing Jayden's game!!!

We headed back to our team's camp after watching Jayden's team. Did I mention that it was cold....and a long, long hike between those fields...at least .5 a mile!!!

Back at Butterfly camp, Madi and one of her teammates chilled in a chair sharing some snacks. And Madi played with Doobie!!

Evan and Doobie (Travis) walked back from the tournament headquarters, where Travis won Madisyn a bag for his impeccable soccer skills! :)

The Butterflies were playing against the Groovy Girls in the second game. We lost...by a lot. Our little girls played their hearts out, but those girls were a rough group of girls. Madisyn scored one point in this game.

Madi was the captain again for the second game. That is Dustin, the ref.

Between the last two games, the girl went back to the "camp", ate snacks and talked strategy for the next game.

Travis came back to the camp with us...to chill before his next game...where he was reffing our game.

And Madi was the captain again!!! I think she likes to stand in the middle of the field. It's cute.

Madisyn didn't score any points in this last game. Those poor girls were exhausted. Really, she barely ran at all.She game all she had left though. That's a lot of soccer for a bunch of five year olds.

Here's Gage watching Madisyn's last game. He was so tired of sitting in that car seat. So I flipped him around and he stood there the entire game propped up like that. He looks like a gopher!!

At the end of the tournament, they handed out medals. They all got the same medal...because THEY DON"T KEEP SCORE!!!! No goalies, no score counting. (Expect we know that Madisyn's team won the first game. and lost the last two...I guess it's good, they are all winners!!)
