Madisyn's Recital!!!

On the same day as Madisyn's last soccer game, she ALSO had her recital. WE woke up at 6:30, took a nice long shower, had a nice breakfast and talked about our day....about how busy that it was and the energy we were going to need to make it through the day. She had a full dress rehearsal from 9-12. She had a soccer game at 2, then had to be back at the auditorium for her recital at 630.
She told me not to worry, that she had it all under control and that she had plenty of energy. And I've got to hand it to her...she was AMAZING. She was so sweet at rehearsal, she got dressed and danced like a pro, she played her best soccer game EVER!!!(she scored 6 points AND took the ball away from the other girls...not to mention she was the prettiest little girl out there with all of her make-up on!!) and then she was a champ at recital. It was a great day for Madisyn!!!

Getting ready for the big day...

Rehearsal....this song was "Boys will be Boys"

.."they will drive you crazy..."

Here's Tango between Madisyn's dances....

This song was Marilyn Monroe's "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend"

...looking over her shoulder to figure out the next move...

Practicing the finale...and how to hold their flowers...

I tried to get Madisyn to take a nap between soccer and her recital. We watched a movie and ate popcorn.

But of course she waited until we were on our way to the recital to fall asleep...she just couldn't take it anymore....she was wiped out!!!

...The Recital

...."they think they are so strong"...

..."A kiss on the hand may be quite continental, but Diamonds are a girls best friend"
Madisyn said..."quite commorectal" it was so funny.

Here are the flowers that Lolli brought her.

She was so proud. Here she is with Dustin and Crystal. Madi will be their flower girl at the end of June.

Me and my sweetie.

I made the hair bows!!! Had to give myself some credit. They didn't have anything for the girls to wear in the hair, so Madi and I made hair bows for all the girls. I was pretty proud of them.

One last pose on stage. She loved being up there on stage.
