Madisyn is in Kindergarten!!!

Well...the time is finally here. My little girl is in school. She started kindergarten yesterday. I asked her if that meant that i was old...her going to school. She said "yep, but mom your still pretty." Silly little girl. She was absolutely precious.

This is her making her lunch on Sunday night. She's been waiting for this day forever....peanut butter in our house. :)

Getting a good start on the morning....breakfast of champions

Here she is....the big girl!! She picked out her own outfit.

Daddy held her hand all the way inside...until we walked in the door and she said "Dad, you don't have to hold my hand anymore" Right, like i could stay dry eyed after that.

This is my sweet little Madi sitting at her desk. What a big girl. Have I said that yet?

On our way out...had to get one more picture.

I did everything I could not to cry when I dropped her off. I at least waited until I was out of the building until I lost it. Evan was making fun of me saying that we were taking her to kindergarten, not military school. I know, I know. Just so hard to see her grow up. Nice, just bitter-sweet.

This is Madisyn right after school....she made it!!! Her first day. Yea, Madi!!!

But before we even made it home, she was out! and she slept til 7, ate dinner and was back to sleep by 930.

Big boy Tango...taking a bath in the sink

Tango is quite the mover now. He tried bailing in the sink.

Here's the little goof ball after his bath. He looks so funny standing up with his short little legs.

Here she is on the second day!!!! She never ceases to amaze me. I love to see her smile.

She's got her very own locker. Here she is putting her backpack away. Notice, the Madison right next to hers....good thing we spelled her name "wrong" ;)

Here is my big girl getting off the bus at Sherri's today. I was lucky enough to get off just in time to see the first day. I can't even begin to tell you how lucky I am to have such a great sitter. She was ready by the door when she got off. I feel so good knowing that I don't have to worry about her. Before long, Tango will be waiting by the door waiting for his big sister to get off the bus.

Joyland!!!!!

Evan and I took Madisyn and Jayden to Joyland the other day. We had a great day. I rode all those big rides...twice. Once with each kid. Man, I got really sick to my stomach. I used to be able to ride those rides all day long....now, not so much. Evan rode the water rides every time with them. He's a big ride chicken.

Here's Jayden and Madisyn trying to decide which ride to ride first.

Tango was such a trooper. He sat, happily, in his stroller the WHOLE time. The only time we even heard a peep from him was when he wanted a cookie.

Evan's favorite game!!!

Here's the KIDS on the water ride. The ALL had a great time!

I really couldn't tell who had more fun....look who's hands are up. :)
A very happy Tango with his cookie.

Jayden and Madi leaving the park. They had such a good time together. I'm lucky....Madi and Jayden are about the same age. And in a few years....Tango and Caleb (or Squirrel...as Evan calls him) will be the same age. I mean they are the same age now, but they'll be able to play together soon.

I have a picture of Madisyn just like this when she was a year old. and believe it or not, they were doing the same thing...Evan had just left the house and they went to the door to watch him leave.

Tango now crawls all the way down the hall, pulls himself up on mirror and gives himself kisses....just like his daddy. ;)

I had a bit of a sad week. First, my friend Holly moved back to Alabama. She was the radiology tech at work. She was just in Lubbock for her husband to get his doctorate in blind studies...or something like that. So i knew she'd be leaving....still stinks. She had a little boy that was just two months younger than Tango....they would have been good friends. She is one of those people that I hope to keep in touch with....an absolutely beautiful person..inside and out. Anyway, we went out to eat right before she left. This is her and her little one and me and my little ones. I do wish her the best of luck...

Then...another one of my very best friends left work this week as well. She was the one who was ALWAYS there to listen. I, and everybody else at work, will miss her tremendously. I think that she made me a better person. Because she was always listening, adding her opinion, without ever judging, she taught me to do the same. I think that she made me a better mom, wife, sister, and friend. I will never forget the lessons she taught me. I will live my life a little less judgmental and more patient. I also learned the value of a person who just listens...i hope that i will add more of that in my life and that people will see that in me. Thank you!!

On a lighter note, here is a little video of Tango. He's a crawling animal now...and he loves the Chicken Dance. :)

Here is a new favorite picture. My bedroom has big black & white pictures of my kiddos. This is be a new addition to my room.

I'm an Aunt!!!

I became an aunt on Thursday!! My not-so-little brother had a little boy. Caleb Clifton Pearce was born on July 31 at 12:15 pm, weighing in at 6 lbs, 8 oz, and 20 in. long.
...best of all...I think he's going to have red hair.

Here are some pictures....

The Proud Papa, and brother

Just moments after Caleb joined the world.

I took these that night he was born.
This is Doc and Caleb

...Shelby and Caleb

and Caleb's little feet

Here's Doc pushing Caleb down to the nursery for the first time. When the parents dads pushed the babies out for the first time, they played a lullaby

To give Shelby and Doc a chance to rest, we took Madisyn and Jayden to Chuck E. Cheese for them to blow off some of their pent up steam.

Looking at their new gift.

Me and Madisyn with Baby Caleb

I was having fun with this one

I asked for a new family picture..and this is what I got.

I hope Shelby knew what she was getting in to...now she was 3 little boys!!! I finally got Doc to give me a pretty smile.
